As a board-certified urologist and military veteran, Dr. Barber brings a wealth of experience to the BBI team.
Education and Training
Dr. Barber attended the University of Georgia in Athens, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then pursued his passion for medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, before completing a rigorous general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
A true testament to his unwavering dedication, Dr. Barber not only excelled in his academic and medical pursuits but also served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserve during his medical training. His commitment to service continued as Chief Urologist and Major for the United States Air Force in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Commitment to Community and Family
Upon completing his service, Dr. Barber made the move to Mountain Home, Arkansas where he continued his mission of providing unparalleled urological care. Beyond his professional contributions, Dr. Barber is deeply rooted in family values. Together with his loving wife, Cara, and their three sons, they often immerse themselves in the beauty of nature, cherishing moments spent outdoors – whether it’s camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, or boating.
