Dr. Esther Han is a board-certified urologic surgeon with specialized fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with honors from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Dr. Han completed her residency in Urological Surgery at Detroit Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in FPMRS at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She was the former Director of Pelvic Health at Texas Urology Specialists and is now Director of Pelvic Health at Bladder & Bowel Institute. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

For Dr. Han, the most fulfilling aspect of her work is restoring dignity and confidence to patients dealing with complex pelvic health issues. She is passionate about empowering individuals through education and personalized care, helping them navigate sensitive conditions with compassion and understanding. Her commitment to patient advocacy extends beyond the clinic, as evidenced by her extensive volunteer work in global medical missions across countries like Uganda, Malawi, Jamaica, China, and Guatemala.
How Dr. Han Has Helped Change Urological Care
Dr. Han brings a holistic and innovative approach to urological care, integrating advanced technologies with patient-centered treatment plans. She has been recognized as a Texas Top Doc and a Top Woman in Medicine, and she serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Texas Christian University’s Burnett School of Medicine. She has multiple Centers of Excellence certificates and serves as a Key Opinion Leader in the industry. She is well published and has been spotlighted on multiple TV, radio and podcast interviews. Dr. Han’s expertise includes managing conditions such as overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, stress incontinence, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). She is also a proponent of minimally invasive therapies, including neuromodulation techniques like sacral nerve stimulation and implantable tibial stimulation, aiming to improve patient outcomes with less invasive interventions.
Bladder & Bowel Institute has two locations—Harrison, Arkansas and McKinney, Texas—and proudly serves patients from Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee & beyond.
