Implant Equipment Instructions – Recharging

To recharge your implant, you’ll use a recharger – a handheld, wireless unit designed to make the process as straightforward as possible. This recharger communicates with your implant and replenishes its power through the skin.

The video on this page demonstrates the steps required to recharge. All you need to do is position the recharger over the implanted device, making sure the alignment is correct, which is indicated on the recharger itself. The recharging session can last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the power status of your device. While recharging, you have the freedom to continue with light activities, making it easily adaptable to your routine.

The frequency of recharging will depend on your specific therapy settings; however, most patients need to recharge their device once a week.
