Dawn Hershberger, PA-C

Education and Training

Dawn Hershberger earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Biology at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, Colorado. Dawn has been board certified since 2008 and most recently completed re-certification in 2024.

Clinical Experience

Dawn brings more than 15 years of clinical experience across a wide range of specialties, including emergency medicine, spine care, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, and primary care.

Throughout her career, she has cared for patients in both clinical and surgical settings. Her experience includes assisting in complex surgical procedures, caring for post-operative patients, treating acute injuries and illnesses in the emergency department, and managing chronic medical conditions in primary care environments.

Dawn has also played an active role in patient education throughout her career, including leading informational seminars and supporting patients through long-term treatment and recovery processes.

The Most Rewarding Part of Her Career

For Dawn, the most rewarding part of practicing medicine is building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them improve their quality of life. She is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in treating the whole person through a combination of evidence-based medicine, education, and wellness-focused strategies.

Her diverse medical background has given her a strong appreciation for individualized care and the importance of helping patients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.
