Dr. Daniel S. Hoffman is a board-certified urologist with specialized fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business and completed a post-baccalaureate certificate at Temple University before earning his Doctor of Medicine from Ponce School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery and urology residency training at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, followed by fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at New York University Langone Medical Center.
Dr. Hoffman brings extensive urology experience to Bladder & Bowel Institute. His background includes serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the University of South Florida and as a practicing urologist with AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Hoffman is passionate about helping patients who are living with bladder and bowel control symptoms feel heard, supported, and informed about their care options. Many patients experience symptoms such as urgency, frequency, bladder leakage, nighttime bathroom trips, bowel control issues, urinary retention, or related concerns for years before seeking help. These symptoms can affect sleep, work, travel, confidence, and daily life.
Dr. Hoffman’s goal is to help patients better understand their symptoms, explore appropriate treatment options, and take the next step toward improved control and quality of life. How Dr. Hoffman Has Helped Advance Urological Care
Dr. Hoffman has a strong clinical and academic background in urology, pelvic health, and reconstructive care. His expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, stress urinary incontinence, urinary retention, benign prostatic hyperplasia and related urologic concerns. He is also a proponent of minimally invasive therapies, including neuromodulation techniques such as sacral nerve stimulation and implantable tibial stimulation, with the goal of improving patient outcomes through less invasive interventions.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hoffman has contributed to urologic education, research, and clinical advancement. His publications and academic work have addressed topics such as urinary tract fistula management, complications of male incontinence surgery, female bladder outlet obstruction, urinary retention after bladder Botox injections, radiation effects on male stress urinary incontinence, and videourodynamic testing. He has also presented research at national and regional urology meetings, including the American Urological Association and the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction.
Dr. Hoffman has also been invited to lecture on topics including overactive bladder guidelines, stress urinary incontinence guidelines, female bladder outlet obstruction, female urethral stricture disease, videourodynamics, and urinary tract infections. His training, research, and clinical experience support BBI Houston’s focus on helping patients access advanced therapies, education, and long-term support for bladder and bowel control conditions.
